What does the work involve?

Portfolio project. All data is fictional and simulated.

I built an end-to-end data entry and data quality system in Microsoft Excel, using native Excel features only: formulas, Data Validation dropdowns, conditional formatting, Excel Tables, PivotTables and charts. No macros, no add-ins.

1. 5,000 simulated customer transaction records, with 12 defect types built in: missing fields, duplicate IDs, duplicate transactions, and invalid emails, phones, dates and reference values.

2. A live validation layer checks every record and flags each issue. Status priority: DUPLICATE first, then MISSING DATA, then INVALID DATA, then VALID.

3. 4,090 records survived QA, giving an 81.8 percent data quality rate, with 11 out of 11 automated QA checks passing.

4. The workbook runs a pipeline of 8 sheets: Raw_Data, Data_Entry with dropdown validation, Validation, Clean_Data, QA_Check, and a Summary dashboard with live PivotTables.

5. Fully reproducible: the dataset comes from a seeded generator script, so the results can be rebuilt and reverified.

Every number above is recalculated live inside the workbook.
